LB Wind 2026
IFP Energies nouvelles and Uppsala University are pleased to announce the next LB Wind Conference, which will be held in IFPEN, Rueil-Malmaison (near Paris, France), on 30 September and 1st October 2026 in person.
Over the past few years, the Lattice Boltzmann Method (LBM) has gained increasing attention in the fields of wind energy and atmospheric flow simulation, thanks to its high computational performance compared with traditional Navier–Stokes-based approaches. LBM has been successfully applied to a wide range of problems, including atmospheric boundary layer flows, wind-turbine aerodynamics and wake dynamics, wind-farm simulations, and pollutant dispersion in both outdoor and indoor environments.
The LBWind Conference aims to bring together researchers working on Lattice Boltzmann Methods (LBM) applied to wind energy and atmospheric flow simulations.
A central theme of the conference is the use of LBM for atmospheric boundary layer flows, pollutant dispersion, air quality modeling, and wind-turbine aerodynamics, with a particular focus on wake dynamics.
All interested participants are invited to apply for a contributed presentation by submitting an abstract.
